The Maui Nui Digital Equity Coalition (MNDEC) Lanai Chapter will discuss milestones on priority projects and gather feedback from community members.  

We cordially invite you—and others on your team—to attend this in-person dinner meeting at Councilmember Johnson’s office on Fraser Ave.  The agenda will feature the following:

• Maui County Broadband Officer – updates from Claudine Perry, Maui County’s new Broadband Officer, on the County’s initiatives in the broadband and digital opportunity space

• University of Hawaii (UH) Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program – updates on the results of the Challenge Process and next steps for the deployment of fiber broadband infrastructure to unserved and underserved neighborhoods across our islands .

• State of Hawaii, Broadband Office (HIBO) – updates on the Capacity Grant program and other digital opportunity initiatives

• Results of the Community Connectivity Survey – including resources sought by each covered population and suggested locations across the island

• Updates on federal funding to support UH BEAD and HIBO.
